Tonight’s Comedy Happenings (Nov. 28)

A listing of the local comedy events for Saturday November 28, 2009.

When college doesn’t appeal to you, you can’t find a good job, and you have a hard time passing drug tests, you’re really only left with one career option, stand-up comedy. Geoff Tate discovered this life path only a few short years ago but is already making it work for him. Now as a professional comedian and freelance joke writer, Tate is living the dream. He has appeared on the nationally syndicated morning radio program The Bob and Tom Show and made his television debut last summer on Comedy Central’s “Live as Gotham.” This weekend’s show will also include locals Joshua Murphy and Tom Brady as featured performers. Show times for Saturday are 8 & 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more tickets or more information call 812-336-LAFF or visit the club’s website.

Every Monday/Saturday is Comedy Caravan at Bear’s Place (1316 E. 3rd Street). The nation’s longest running one-nighter show brings in nationally touring headliners every week. Tickets are $7 and showtimes are at 8 & 10:30 p.m.  For more info on this show visit our helpful links page.
